Shade Wrappers was an exploratory project that I was hired to work on by Basic Fun, makers of the Viewmaster®, Simon®, and other classic childrens' games. The product concept was for a set of roll-up sunglasses marketed to children and pre-teens. They were to be screen-printed and packaged in a minimal shape-holding pack and sold in groceries and toy stores. I was brought aboard to develop and execute a mini-branding including logo design, package design (structural and graphics), and various product illustrations for screen printing.
After developing the logo and package design, I was offered the opportunity to create screen-printed artwork for the product itself. The target audience was mostly pre-teen and fun, wacky illustrations were encouraged.
